An email claims a grandchild or another relative is in trouble. MailMigo looks for an emergency story combined with pressure and a request for money.
Call the person on a number you already know.“Send us a copy of your ID.”
Even a friendly-looking message can ask for sensitive personal data. We flag the request without claiming the sender is genuine.
Check the matter in an account you open yourself.“Your parcel needs a small extra fee.”
A delivery claim or unfamiliar order leads to a payment or cancellation link. We assess the text and link in context.

Unexpected demands, changed bank details and threats call for an independent check. An ordinary invoice is not automatically fraud.

How does the free offer work?
The current test is free; technical per-sender and overall capacity limits apply. Five free checks per month are planned for the public offer but are not active yet. MailMigo Plus is in preparation.
Do I need to install anything?
No. Forward the email from your usual mail app to check@mailmigo.ch. You'll receive the assessment by email.
Can MailMigo help with a family emergency scam?
For a forwarded email, MailMigo can flag an urgent request for money in a relative's name. We do not currently check phone calls or chat messages. If unsure, call the person on a number you knew before this message.
Can MailMigo prove that an email is genuine?
No. A forwarded email often lacks the original technical authentication data. MailMigo explains the visible clues. For important payments or accounts, also check through a contact method you already trust.
What happens to my email content?
We process the forwarded message and send normalised content to Microsoft Azure for assessment. Supplementary web searches use reduced domain and topic queries. See our privacy notice for providers, retention and your rights.
